First Listen: Chrome Wings – “New Lands”.

We’ve been waiting for this. Next Monday, everyone’s favorite label madness AMDISCS drops New Lands on 12 inch, Chrome Wings‘ anticipated sophomore effort after last year’s remarkable Time Patterns cassette on Stunned Records.
The new album is quite a big creative leap forward for the Portland duo, as they’ve further refined their knack for beautifully textured, swirling and expansive synth pads that leave you happy and stoned even if your default dope vendor had to call in sick. Tracks like “Sky Mirage” or “Stay High” set off towards prior unknown, almost h-poppy sonic realms, reinvigorating our original love for repetitive, restrained patterns of purest infinite bliss that indeed are preferably enjoyed while being stuck in that dreamlike state just before waking up. See for yourself and take an exclusive listen to some of the tracks below.
New Lands is out October 31 on AMDISCS.
