Wind in Willows.

Anton Filatov aka Wind in Willows, hailing from Russia’s Republic of Karelia, is one of the most interesting yet least exposed contemporary psychedelic ambient artists. Studying physics and astronomy while living on the outskirts of Petrozavodsk “basically right in the forest”, this young man appears to amalgamate all features essential to come up with deeply enchanting, ethereal pieces of drone that are at the same time mathematically exact and crafted with an immense intent on even the least obvious details in his music.
His debut cassette Elephant Dreams which was released by Karelian imprint Full of Nothing is long sold out but can be downloaded for free over here. This July, Filatov will have a split release with Saint Petersburg artist Bedroom Bear (who we had introduced in early April) on our beloved LaGrange, Georgia cassette label Hooker Vision.
