Great news from Sgt. Peppers Lonely Hearts Club alumni Zak Mering (according to his FB profile, and there’s obviously no reason for doubt): the terrifyingly prolific dude has just started Gunk TV Records, set up to be the future home for everything we could ever dream of by all endeavors involving himself such as Raw Thrills, Greatest Hits, Vital Caress, or The Sweethearts (really struggling to keep track here), as well as for some projects of his friends (James Ferraro, Sam Mehran) and family (his sister Natalie’s Weyes Blood).

Apart from that, a little reminder: Shakedown, Zak’s forthcoming, outstanding psych pop effort as Raw Thrills (read about it here), is out in early February and already up for pre-order via Tokyo’s Sixteen Tambourines.

Below, enjoy the first two Gunk TV exclusives, a brand new Raw Thrills track, and the, well, subtle yet strangely mesmerizing video for the Sam Mehran/Wingdings II (aka Outer Limits Recordings/Matrix Metals, etc.) tune Maui Wowee Mow Wow, which was released on last year’s Zarathustra’s Puzzle.
