Premiere: Slyy – “Pinched Up”.

After returning from their forced hiatus, the world’s friendliest dudes north of the Antarctic over at MJ MJ Records have prepped another stellar release, a tape by Boston, Massachusetts duo Slyy, consisting of Jake Yuhas aka BugEyes and Miles Coe aka Milochondria. Joining forces for their first proper full-length, Serious Sauce Vol. 2 is a 46 minute work stuffed with quite incredible beat extravaganza, made mainly via analog synthesis and bolstered with fine live recorded bass. I’ve been told that they even might smoke weed sometimes, and oh it shows in the best possible of ways. Both laid back and swirling, at times wriggly, always delightful: Move your feet, or just remain seated.
