Stoked by London/Brighton duo Peepholes‘ latest offering “Tunnels”, the leadoff single from their forthcoming full-length Caligula. This is classic cold wave, with crystal-clear analogue synth pads, totally over-the-top vocalization and staggering, absolutely relentless drum machine backing – excessive and flamboyant yet still somehow restrained and self-controlled, probably a bit like Gordon Gekko would behave after a long day of making trouble.
Caligula is out November 28 via Upset The Rhythm
