For staring at the pale blue sky. For swimming in the sea. For having a picnic in the countryside. For walking through the sticky city. For sleeping on the rooftop. For wandering across endless fields.

There’s something beautiful about the first time, I mean here, hearing and sensing something one has not been exposed to.  Sure the hooks and beats might follow a particular rhythm, arranged as a new melody, but it’s new to the ear because each evolution of music and lyrics makes it so.

Glad I found this particular mix, it fits the mood of the moment and the intimacy of the imagination.  Specially good when one notices change in life balancing out with the rise and fall of the daily sun.

I love to riff for no particular reason and listen to music for no particular purpose.  “Summer Promises” evokes that carefree caress with casual contentment – especially at the very moment I don’t have any expectations regarding which tune comes next.

Randomness in a Sam Roberts Brother Down sort of way is depressing in winter, but uplifting in summer.  Maybe that is what makes the difference between “summer promises” and “winter realities”.

Now is not the winter of my discontent, but simply a nice trip without taking a trip.  The solo expression does not seem to be much valued in our shared days of social media, but for me a great summer promise is enjoying time alone, devoid of the fear of loneliness.

Let the mind where it might because summer should be about such freedom of expression, there is always another winter to master one’s thoughts and meditate away the warmth generated by free-form rhetoric simultaneously written with the sound of emerging music.

Not everything in life needs to culminate in a profound point or seeking a response.  Be silent in the summer promise, and let the mind shine.  When we can turn on the summer in our minds without seasonal intervention, everyday can be whatever season we may want.

The best things in life are not meant to be read, just written and then forgotten in the warmth of the fun and joy of simply writing whatever flows from the mind, the spirit and (since I can hear my fingers touch type this on a keyboard), the body.

Whatever – this was nice. Real nice as a delightful random free spirit see where it goes and just let it go kind of thing . . .
