Pretty stoked right now by the “fractured pop songs from a parallel or hovering perspective”, in the words of Portland, Oregon resident Apache Jackson. Sleazy late night, deep and dark, 80s dripping extravaganza exemplified in Hotline Getaway, the opening jam of Jackson’s debut EP Soul Damage, available now via bandcamp. A second EP with “aggressive and sexy saxophone solos” will follow pretty soon, and a full-length is scheduled for this fall. Stay tuned.
