Take a listen to some nicely arranged bedroom indie pop by Saugerties, New York enigma Boylant (not the guy on above picture though), generally upbeat and happy with some subtle, less weird early Ducktails inspirations with its overall echo-laden production and hushed, murmured vocalization.
