I know. Outside it’s close to zero degrees but here at NFOP we’re having an insanely hazy, summery day. Well, sorry for that. But anyway, one last time, this is from Richmond’s Kenny Hamilton, and though his nom de guerre Spacemonster doesn’t really fit the music, this college dropout seriously knows how to come up with lush, melody-dripping tape music, with the necessary hiss and carefully washed-out vocalizing his songs feature just about everything we could ever expect from something dubbed as bedroom pop. But no offense intended, I really am stoked by Hamilton’s talent that was awoken last summer after his personal life had gotten overly complicated, so do yourself a favor and buy Spacemonster’s Gills EP for a Dollar over at bandcamp.
