Wind Forest is the recording moniker of 21 year old Garett Pierre Rogers from Holt, Michigan, and under that name he composes blissful bedroom dreampop we’ve learned to love so unapologetically. Floating Treescope is Rogers’ first EP, published yesterday and available for free on wind Forest’s bandcamp.
Blending almost classic new wave electro synth pop with more dreamy and fuzzy elements that are not too far away from latter-day chillwave, the EP’s wonderful second track Wakey Wakeyyyy sounds like it was a song written for some out of reach girl, performed desperately underwater.
