I stumbled across this guy’s bandcamp yesterday, and ever since that magical moment I’ve been wasting hour after hour just getting lost in Sherry‘s lonesome yet heart-warming cosmos of echo-laden washes of guitar and slowly captivating rhythm, topped by a forlorn astronaut’s longing and crooning voice. Elen Never Sleeps is a 24 year old Tokyo citizen cryptically named “dlp”, but as we all have learned, our shared cultural history is crowded with mysterious captains leading condemned ships into perdition – and though we are aware of the dangers, whatever galaxy you’re heading to, we’ll follow anyway.
